The work

Projects at a glance — what the problem was, what was built, and what it was built with. The deeper write-ups live on the case studies page.

    SD-PLC compiler and runtime

    Architect and engineer

A vendor-neutral PLC compiler and runtime built around the IEC 61131-3 programming model and the OPC UA information model. Compiles standard control logic to a portable runtime that deploys as a single cross-architecture binary, so control code is testable, reviewable, and not welded to one manufacturer toolchain.

    Flotation-tank control system

    Thesis author and engineer

Designed, implemented, and validated the embedded control for a flotation-tank process. Modelled the plant dynamics, designed the controller against that model, and proved the behaviour in software before committing it to hardware — the software-first workflow that SD-PLC is built around.

    Modicon M241 hardware-in-the-loop rig

    Engineer

Hardware-in-the-loop testing of control logic on a Schneider Modicon M241, extending software-first validation onto real industrial hardware. Write-up and measured results published as they land.

    Design and full delivery

This site. A prerendered SvelteKit front end served by a single Rust/Axum binary that also runs the API, with SQLite for persistence, behind Caddy with automatic TLS on a 1 GB VPS. Built as one deployable artifact for the same reason SD-PLC is: fewer moving parts to keep running.
